It's really very chilly in our room and Maya isn't back yet.
Maybe I should unpack and make my bed...naaah.
Sarah (aka "Plumpy"), Caitlin, and I saw Marie Antoinette, which was stylistically/visually pretty rad, but not exactly a good, satisfying movie. One of those kids described it as a 2-hour Vogue shoot, which is damn accurate.
Then Sarah and I wandered around the Hickory Hollow Mall for five hours while Caitlin worked at Waldenbooks. We spent a lot of time looking at tattoo magazines and looking for white pants for Caitlin's Alex de Large costume. The best ones we found said "Baby Girl" at the top in rhinestones. Classy.
After an adventure in suspender finding and car battery dying, Sarah and I went to her house to suit up in our Dr. Girlfriend and Monarch costumes, respectively. By 1am, we finally reached this alleged party. Grant Martin hugged us a lot, as he was really drunk and wearing the lamest costume in forever (a sunflower). Yes, his being a sunflower impacted how affectionate he was. A couple people knew who we were and were very excited. The roommate of the guy who had the party locked himself in the basement and shut off the power, the po-lice came by, booze was scarce, and I only talked to one other person there.
Yesterday I spent a long ass time at Target, but I read the end of Jane Eyre and Caitlin made me a very tasty grilled cheese sandwich. For her birthday, I took my mom to see Little Miss Sunshine and we went out to dinner. I tried to pack, but ended up just watching I Heart Huckabees.
I got back here at like 12:40pm, or something. So far I have only seen Ruby.
Also, I'm going to see Flogging Molly on Thursday night. I'm really really excited.
