I have many things to report. First and foremost: Maiden was awesome. Their set was a spaceship. Their setlist was excellent. Bruce did a lovely tribute to Dio. Dave was amazing.
Aforementioned setlist )

Hung out in Chicago for a while with Nate and Paul.  Nate and I went to see Jim Gannon in Milwaukee. He took us to a new brewery near his house. After that Nate drove me to Madison. I got to go drinking with Veronica, Jameson, and, later, Hartley. It was super fun. Then I returned to Chicago and saw Inception (finally) and Iron Man 2 (at the cheap theater). I found the first awesome and the second slightly more perplexing the second time around. I guess Vibranium is Stark tech now. Also, Howard Stark was in his late 40s when Tony was born. Also, the map at the end in the SHIELD outpost has something pinpointed in Scandinavia. Sites I've seen say it's around Germany and point to Red Skull, but I'm not too sure.

Continuing in this vein, there is troubling news from Comic Con. I'm really concerned. This looks awesome, no?
I'm seriously worried it's all going to fall apart.  Joss says it's going to be Ultimates (which follows with Sammy J Nick Fury), which makes me really unhappy from the beginning.  Also, they gotta stop replacing actors left and right after any little discretion (I know it's Sony that is the most guilty, but still).  Chris Evans, don't be disappointing.
I just don't know.  I'm so worried.
I'm almost too worried to be excited.
But Karl Urban getting cast as Judge Dredd gives me some hope.

Mmm, so much fail.
I'm ready for winter break. But that means it'll be that much closer to next semester and classes about women and graduation. D:

To Do List )

It's a little after the fact to be telling myself to get with the program. Oh well.

The weekend was good. Friday began with circle of death and ended soon after with an apartment full of stupidly drunk people. Austin flipped me over his head and broke a towel rack. Duct tape everywhere. Saturday I kind of wanted to just stay home and work on Shadowrun stuff, but I went with Nan and Jameson to Madison for Curtis's birthday. Being off campus is the best thing ever. Comedy club, walking around, Nan getting hit on by drunk guys, 3am pizza, Jameson drunkenly putting his arms around Curtis and singing 'Angel' softly, finding a lost disposable camera in the cab, falling asleep to Switch (which was pretty awful). All pretty good. Also, corn is delicious.

Well, uh...where do I start...Wednesday night I guess. Went to Passover dinner in Madison with Diana's family, which was amazing. Thursday was Spring Day so we didn't have class, naturally that means everyone drank a lot and went to the wall Wednesday night. It was pretty swell, just hanging out with everyone.

The weather got really nice all of a sudden, so Spring Day was sunny and hot. Jello Wrestling, eating contests, Ted and Christina attacking me with water balloons, Nate attacking both me and Robert with a water gun, bonding with Kate, and just all around foolishness. Tenley's b-day party was later that afternoon. Picnic outside on the mounds with lots of fun and games! I was grumpy because I had no sleep and was in a funk, but it was still enjoyable. Pictures?

Friday afternoon was really swell. Sat outside with Abby, Amanda, Maya, Chris, and Ian. We were eventually joined by Sam, Ben, and Christina. We all just lay around and pretended to do work before dinner. Dinner was fairly amazing. Abby said some quality things. We discussed Snakes on a Plane. Ben was very passionate about the difference between 'ON the line' and 'IN the line', it was absurd. After dinner Sarah, Maya, Abby, Veronica, Sarah W., and I lay on blankets on a hill while Chris, Ian, Zeke, Sam, and Ben threw a frisbee at each other, obviously with no other purpose than to inflict harm on each other. Sarah made us do weird line dances. We all did some group hugging. The boys decided to have a "boys night out" and went to see Ice Age 2. There was a guy playing music outside that we watched, then went to C-haus. I danced with Kyle, Maya, and Natalie a lot and it was fun. Everyone else was lame and went to bed.

Saturday, got up hella early to go to Madison. Walked around a lot with Maya, Zeke, Chris, Ian, and Abby. Ate at Noodles and Company. Maya and I rode the bus back without Zeke, as he's a harlot and chose to go in the car. Did not see a weasel, unlike last time. Played a drinking game to Freaks and Geeks with Kyle, Maya, and Channing. We had rules, but it dissolved into us yelling that something was either hot, lame, or sketchy. Went to C-haus, which was a bust. Nothing was going on at all, which disappointed me a lot. All our friends were lame and went to bed. Ended up talking to Andrew and Reid for something like two hours, which was amazing. They're two of my favorite boys ever. "I've been growing facial hair since the second grade. My mother had to shave my face before school." Harry randomly handed me half a cheese pizza in the hallway when I was on the phone and I ate it all. The upshot of this being that I pretty much have to go to Boston.

I don't think I bombed the art test I thought I would. I have my Stalin presentation tomorrow and that's the only class I have until Friday. I'm so burned out right now. I think I'm going to go to sleep and see if I can sleep off this headache.
