I'll do my HBP rantsummary a little later.

2. Han Solo
3. Daniel Fitzpatrick (read Lyda Morehouse's books, yo!)

I tag whoever hasn't done this yet.

GO!
Immediate reaction: "OMFGNO!"
Initial reaction: "What the hell was that?!"
This gave way to: "...."
And finally turned into: "I'll watch a movie. No, I don't feel like it. I'll draw. I don't feel like that either. I'll listen to music. No. I'll just lie here staring into space while feeling no emotions whatsoever."
Which resulted in a decision: "I'm going to go drink the rest of the red wine and then play with knives."
But Sarah wouldn't let me do that.
She came over and we just kinda lay around and talked about happier times.
Enough of that, how about some book analysis?
...
Harry/Ginny=It's about damn time, kiddos. Also, yay for Ron/Hermione! KACHING! Fluer most definitely grew on me by the end. I know I'm going to come off sounding awful, but Remus/Tonks? I mean, I like Tonks a lot, don't get me wrong, and I know I'm biased because I've been thoroughly in love with Remus ever since I read the third book five or six years ago, but it just seems a bit...I don't know, random? I guess I'll get used to it...after I figure out how to fix Victims of Circumstance. That should prove to be fun. I guess, as silly as I feel saying it, I'm just jealous.
Now, on to things more important than ships.
OMG REGULUS IS TEH AWESOME!
*ahem*
I totally like how the Half-Blood Prince was not the main mystery throughout most of the book, unlike all the other book titles. Well, i guess, if that was the case, then the whole books really about Severus (next to Harry, of course). I guess that's kinda true in a way, isn't it? I'm going to have to read it again.
I'm also NOT giving up on Severus and hating him and whatnot. I do believe he and Dumbledore had sorted this all out and he is not evil and will play a very very very important role in book 7. And poor Draco, actually crying in the bathroom and such. I really feel sorry for the kid, sure he's a pisser, but he's having to suffer under Voldemort now and no one deserves that really, but I guess it is his own fault...
What's all this mishmosh about not going back to Hogwarts? I won't very well be "Year 7" if they don't go back. Grr. I'm feeling a lot better now than before. Talking helps.
The Inferi were scary.
HARRY POTTER VS. THE ARMY OF DARKNESS!!!
Let's see, anything else to say?
Harry's pretty suave now compared to his angsty self in the last book.
Harry: "Yes."
Snape: "Yes, sir."
Harry: "There's no need to call me 'sir.'"
That was pretty awesome. And how he has a scar of "I must not tell lies." on his hand. That's pretty sweet, too.
I love all the "Ron/Harry/Anybody swore loudly" or "made a rude hand gesture" and all the making out everywhere and Harry's inappropriate dreams about Ginny. JK is amazing with making her characters behave like real teenagers. She's just brilliant. <3
I'll probably have more to say later.
I think that's it for now.
Yeah.
Fin.
P.S. Yes, I cried about 8 billion times...and by that I mean about four times, but for various reasons, not all involving the goings on in HBP in particular.

Date: 2005-07-20 03:10 pm (UTC)i can't read it for like, another year because i realised that i haven't read the first three books in 6 years and so on.
in other words, it has been hard enough to keep from hearing shit about the book. do not tempt me with even the most benign details.
