"Who's going to pay for the chicken?"
Jan. 18th, 2006 11:41 pmThis shirt rocks beyond belief. Is it dorky that in order to remember the html for a text link I think "a, holy roman empire, f"? If that made sense....
So, New York. It was cramazing, to use Christina's word reserved for really truly amazing things. Pictures forthcoming.
List of stuff I bought?
Bruce Springsteen shirt. Michael Jackson ala Jackson 5 shirt (for Maya). Weird-ass olive green studded strap-y chaps. Awesome black biker-type semi-capriish pants. White long dress with pink straps and pretty flowers. Green sweater with red hammer and sickles all over it. That might be about it. I also bought a lot of coffee and food. That's where most of my money went. Food.
Winter break can be summed up in the two perfect moments I had during my time away from Beloit.
First, when we were at Bryan's apartment, at one point we were all in a huge group hug, holding on to one another, most pretty damn tipsy, yelling--not singing--the words to Tiny Dancer by Elton John. It was beautiful. In that one moment I felt so happy and content.
The second instance occurred in New York. We went to the Imagine stone, which had a peace sign made out of flowers on it. The whole atmosphere there was relaxed, but quiet and respectful. A 20-something guy, there with a few friends, had an acoustic guitar and was playing and singing (not badly, but not really well) Love Me Do enthusiastically. It was really quite an experience.
