I should be working on my slide show presentation for Russian Revolutions, but I'll do that tomorrow. It's just a matter of finding lots of pictures.

Been doing work/slacking off/working out (ew.)/ I don't know.
I was having a huge problem last night of missing home a lot. It's partly the dog's fault for being really sick, but also, I just miss my mom and dad and all my home friends. I really love it here, but sometimes I want to go where everybody knows my name (heh). I miss the almost depressing-poetic feel of reuniting with a group of people that I've known for such a long time just to discover we're all becoming different people. I also miss waking up to Rodney Crowell playing in the den at 9 am on Saturday, when my dad was out at garage sales and my mom and I would drink homemade lattes and look at fabric and beads on the internet together with sunlight streaming through the open windows.

Bleh. I'm going home in 11 days...or maybe 12, at any rate, it's soon enough.
Last weekend was fun. Friday there were prospies. On these nights we really want to do a lot to impress them, but it always ends up not being so much fun because there are too many people and they all don't want to do the same things and...blah.

Saturday we made bowls out of magazines in DIY, and went to the Vagina Monologues, which my love Abby was in. It was much more enjoyable than I thought it would be, yay! Then we hung out in our room some, before going to Vortex, this big concert thing. Saw the tail-end of Hockey Night, sat around with Channing some, heard all of Defiance, Ohio and was not too impressed. It seems that a large percent of indie bands are an excuse for good instrumental musicians with no vocal talent to sing a lot. Badly. It's not different, like weird-voiced folk singers, it's just plain bad. Played on the ice for a while after the concert. Walked back to the dorm with Ian and we got in some quality complaining about people smoking pot and drinking a lot. Hung out longer, talked to Veronica for a while (<3!), ate pizza with Sally, Maya, and Tenley, stayed up talking to Sally until 4am, and then went to sleep.

Sunday was far less exciting. Got up, ate, played racquetball with Maya and Ted, in which I managed to hurt my left buttock and make my right arm v. sore. I might have done some work then, had pizza with Abby, Chris, Ian, Maya, Kyle, and a prospie, missed home a lot, and watched The Breakfast Club before sleeping.

Today, (bored yet?) there's this sign on the door once I stumble in for my first class saying we can leave a half hour after class begins if our professor hasn't shown up. This is from the guy that gives you an unexcused absence and asks you why your late in front of the whole class if you're more than 30 seconds tardy. We were all not too amused and left after 15 minutes. Learned about stuff I already know in Rock History (but it's still awesome), went to the gym with Abby, where Chris informed us he'd brought us a surprise (which turned out to be Ian), Abby and I biked and used those newfangled step machines for a long time, and we attempted to play racquetball, which ended in Abby standing out in the hall afraid of being hit, Chris and Ian slamming the ball around as hard as possible, and me failing to produce any loud sounds whatsoever.

I can't wait for this weekend (and it's only Monday, geez). Madison, 48 hour film fest, and perhaps some golf?

Our campus is pretty/creepy.

Also, these two, recently put on facebook by Christi, make me happy:

I miss the dart game occasionally, though not Zinder's insistence that we call it "The Game" because "The Game" was that weird match thing that Sydney and Emily taught us. At any rate, Christi, Katie, and Blake are all adorable.

Lastly, it's very obvious what just occurred here. I was talking to Rose and Nate said something stupid. I then gave him a look of loathing/love/dumfoundedness/amusement. He, in turn, looked slightly miffed, but mostly just pleased with himself. Rose probably giggled.

Also: Bob Dylan was really hot back in the day. I mean, look at him.

Those pictures are adorable, aren't they? And I miss you bunches, but I probably won't get to see you spring break. Do you drive down or fly or what?
Also, yes, Bob Dylan = gorgeous man.
