Tommy guns are awesome. Thank you History Channel. There are all these historians sitting around holding these things, musing about the fact that you can put 100 bullets in someone in 8 seconds. The 20s were neat.

I am also stuffing my face with triscuits.

NYC was fun, though a little overwhelming. We went to the aquarium, Coney Island, Magnolia, Canal St., St. Mark's, as well as just hanging around, babysitting, and going to services on Saturday. I discovered that I really should be a 15 year old boy with interests like mine. I got to see Abby, Chris, Angie, and Ben, which made me really happy since I didn't see them a lot last semester. My purchases amounted to a pair of red and black stripped pants, a leather Biggie-style hat, and an Iron Maiden belt buckle that I haggled the price from 35-40$ to 15$.

(Oh God, Prohibition, my least favorite thing ever.)

Home is good. I'm okay with being here now, the big city helped in that. I've seen POTC3 and Ocean's 13, worked almost a full week, badly torn a fingernail, and been to the gay bar for Sarah's birthday since I've been back. I've also started work on the props for Hypericon (which is next weekend!!!!). Paper mache is fun and I think it's going to work out. The Explorer's body isn't as pointy as it should be, but whatever, it's good enough. I need to get some other things in order and figure out what I'm dressing as the other two days.

Furthermore, my boots are on the way. I'm really excited.

The Jersey shore is really nice. The rest of Jersey is kinda blaaaahh. I rode a bus that went the entire length of New Jersey yesterday. It was tiresome and not fun. I hate buses so much. So much.

My aunt and uncle's house is really nice with fun wallpaper and magnificent porches. It's also a lovely shade of pink. I went to the beach with my family a lot. Molly and I had our feet pinched by crabs, which I really wanted to catch, but had no crab net and they kept running away. We had amazing sandwiches for lunch everyday. Then we relaxed and waited for the sun to go down a bit before going back out. I went on a nice bike ride one day. Everyone, for the most part, was really really nice, probably because it was the beach. On my last night there we played skeeball at the arcade down the boardwalk. I won a harmonica.

It's amazing to think I was just in Cape May yesterday, immersed in nature at the beach and now I'm in the most urban of urban places, New York City. The contrast of the sound of the ocean from the beach house and the sound of the subway from this apartment is pretty hilarious.

I should call Abi and see if she wants to come in from Brooklyn to see me :D I don't know if I just want to sit inside all day. I can always call Sarah, except for the part where she hasn't answered her phone the last four days despite her leaving me a message saying we MUST talk about Hypericon things. Uhg.

Really, I'm just killing time until the cleaning lady needs to get into the den.
