I keep trying to read for Biology, but kidneys really just don't interest me at all. I'd rather sit here angstily and listen to Joy Division for the next five hours. I really need to work on getting out of these horrible moods, but it's just so fucking hard when more and more things keep piling up, damaging what little calm I've managed to obtain in the waking hours before something else happens and plunges my brain down into a mired oblivion of thought.
Put a gun to my head and paint the wall with my brains.
I cannot wait to go home and see my family. They make me so happy. I want to watch Vera Cruz with my dad and listen to Rodney Crowell with my mom.
This weekend was Sophomore Retreat, which was kind of nice. We got talked at a lot which was a little tiring. The best part was playing Texas Hold 'Em with Jessie, Ted, Robert, Nate, Kate, and Jim Gannon for something like 3 hours. We stood out on the lake's docks a lot at night and attempted to play with a black frisbee for a while. Sarah's friends are dicks. Robert and I watched The Wrath of Kahn and fought about what happens in the 5th Star Trek movie for maybe half an hour or more. Ted, Robert, Kate, KO, Jessie, Kira, and I all slept in one room.
Much of Saturday was occupied with eating and writing on paper ("What did you enjoy about the Sophomore Retreat?" Jim Gannon. Wrath of Kahn. Food. Docks. "What improvements could be made to future Sophomore Retreats?" More Jim Gannon.). At a Q&A session with professors Nate submitted the question "In case of zombie apocalypse, does the school have a comprehensive survival plan for the students?" or some such. Unfortunately they did not answer this question. I took lots of individually packaged things from the hotel. Saturday night, Ted, Kate, Robert, and I watched Venture Bros. and MST3K, hung out with Ben, and Kate and I spent the rest of the night futzing around in TKE until 5am.
My radio show sucked. I hate technology.
